Built to be reliable
FreeApp coming soon to Android and iPhone.
A reminder only helps if it arrives. AlertMitra checks that your phone can deliver reminders, backs them up to your account, and keeps you in control of how and when you are reminded.
How it works
- Run the health check. AlertMitra checks notification permission, exact-alarm permission, battery saver and, on iPhone, background refresh.
- Fix what is blocked. If something may delay your reminders, a banner on the home screen says so and takes you to the right phone setting. A Test notification button lets you check.
- Stay in control. Choose which categories you hear about, set quiet hours, and pick priority and snooze for each reminder.
What is inside
What you can set on every reminder
- Priority: high, medium or low
- Snooze for 5, 10, 30 or 60 minutes
- Up to 5 pre-alerts, for example 1 day before and 1 hour before
- Up to 50 subtasks inside one reminder, and notes
- Repeats: daily, weekly, monthly (including the last day), yearly, every few days, or a set number of times
- Done, with Undo if you tap it by mistake
Backup and a new phone
Your reminders work on your phone first, even without internet. They are also backed up to your account, so on a new phone you sign in and they come back. You can use more than one device. If you change the same reminder on two devices, the latest change wins.
Easy to read
Large readable text, high contrast, Hindi fonts that display properly, light and dark mode, big tap targets, and support for screen readers and larger text sizes. It is meant to run well on low-end phones too.
Good to know
- Reminders are scheduled on your phone first, so they work without internet.
- Quiet hours apply to your reminders. Emergency alerts can break through quiet hours only if you allow it during setup.
- Your reminder text is stored on our server so it can be backed up. It is not end-to-end encrypted.
- Syncing between devices is simple for now. Real-time sync is planned for later.
- We are aiming at phones with Android 8.0 or newer and iPhone iOS 15 or newer. This may change before launch.
- Phones only for now, in portrait. Tablets and landscape come later.
- Fair-use limits apply to the number of reminders you can keep.
